Melbourne’s Zoo – Not bad for 150
While the Queen ticks over her 60 years in bejewelled captivity with a few posh parties, Melbourne’s Zoo - just 4 kms from the city’s CBD - enjoys its own more humble celebration.
Helping the sanctuary mark its 150th birthday are performers like Vika and Linda Bull, Lior and Kate Cebrano. Their high Cs and E Flat Minors are set to mix it with the sounds of the wild (ahem, North Melbourne wild) in a series of summertime twilight performances until mid March. BYO mozzie zappers.
